Institute Industry Cell
The Institute Industry Cell works to strengthen interaction between the institution and industry and to facilitate better coordination for the academic and professional development of students.
Objectives
- To establish and strengthen industry–institute interaction.
- To facilitate communication and coordination between the institute, students and industry.
- To provide students with better exposure to industrial practices and workplace requirements.
- To encourage industry-oriented academic and professional activities.
- To identify opportunities for collaboration between the institute and industries.
Major Functions
- Develop and maintain interaction with industries and industrial organisations.
- Facilitate industrial visits, training, internships and other industry-oriented activities wherever applicable.
- Encourage interaction between students, faculty members and industry professionals.
- Identify opportunities for industry collaboration and skill development.
- Gather information about current industrial practices and requirements and communicate relevant inputs to students and faculty.
- Support activities aimed at improving students’ employability and practical skills.
- Coordinate with industries for guest lectures, expert sessions, workshops and other technical activities.
- Maintain records of industry interactions and activities undertaken by the Cell.
- Provide recommendations to the Principal/Head of Institution regarding industry-related initiatives.
- Undertake other activities assigned by the competent authority for strengthening institute–industry coordination.
